3.16.12 Adjusting Lift Vertical and Horizontal Speeds
Caution: The lift speed, by law, must not exceed 11 feet per minute (2.2 inches per second.)
Note: Speeds are factory adjusted to 11 feet per minute or less. Differing loads may cause speeds
to be different when installed. Check speeds with actual loads before using the degreaser for
production. Adjust as required.
3.16.12.1 Vertical Pressure Regulator Adjustment
Adjust the pressure regulator to 90 psig.
3.16.12.2 Horizontal Pressure Regulator Adjustment
Adjust the pressure regulator to 60-90 psig. Adjust the horizontal pressure regulator to the
minimum pressure that will reliably move the fully loaded lift smoothly throughout its
horizontal range.
3.16.12.3 Up Speed Adjustment
Adjust the Lift Up Speed control to 11 feet per minute or less. This flow control device
regulates the flow of air out of the upper portion of the lift cylinder.
3.16.12.4 Down Speed Control
Adjust the Lift Down Speed control to 11 feet per minute or less. This flow control
device regulates the flow of air out of the lower portion of the lift cylinder.
3.16.12.5 Left Speed Adjustment
Adjust the Lift Left Speed control to 11 feet per minute or less. This flow control device
regulates the flow of air out of the left portion of the horizontal cylinder.
3.16.12.6 Right Speed Control
Adjust the Lift Right Speed control to 11 feet per minute or less. This flow control
device regulates the flow of air out of the right portion of the horizontal cylinder.
3.16.13 Adjusting Limit Switches
3.16.13.1 Adjustment Method
Loosen setscrews holding the switch bracket to the cylinder tie rod. Slide the switch to
the new position and tighten the setscrews.
Note: Be certain that the top and bottom limit switches are activated when the cylinder is at its
travel limits. Timeout faults will occur if the switches are not activated.
