Brewing Program Zones
Propagate
The  zone runs for 12 hours,
during which time your BeerDroid
maintains an optimal temperature
for yeast propagation (growth of
yeast cells). Your BeerDroid will then
transition to the  zone.
k During the  zone,
   will be
displayed on the screen.
k The brew temperature will also
appear on the screen and will
gradually rise or drop to 21°C
(70°F) for  and 22°C (72°F)
for  programs, or to the
configured  temperature
in a  program.
k The total elapsed time will show on
the screen, above  and .
Ferment
During the  zone, the yeast
is busy converting sugars into alcohol
and releasing CO
2
as a by-product.
The duration of the  zone is
dependent on many factors, such as,
the recipe, the yeast strain used, and
the fermentation temperature.
k The target temperature during
the  zone in the lager
program is pre-set to 12°C
(54°F) and in the  program
it is pre-set to 17°C (6F). In a
 program it will be the
temperature you set manually.
k The temperature displayed
on the screen indicates the
current brew temperature.
Note
If your BeerDroid is configured for
Wi-Fi operation, you may adjust
the fermentation temperature
during the  zone via the
BrewArt App.
Your BeerDroid will monitor the
fermentation progress of your brew.
When it detects the end of fermentation
it will transition to the  zone.
If it does not detect end of fermentation
aer 20 days in the  zone, it will
automatically transition to the  zone
and report that end of fermentation was
not detected.
