Hard Keys
These are push keys on the front panel which are all identified
by icons and all have fixed, application-software independent
functions (see Fold Out).
Some of them put the Modular Precision Sound Analyzer Type
2260 in one of the 4 modes it operates in when switched on:
● System
● Set-up
● Measure
● Calibrate

Soft Keys
These are push keys to the right of the analyzer’s display. The
functions of these context-sensitive push keys are identified
by the soft-key menu on the right-hand side of the display (see
Fold Out).

Menus
The Modular Precision Sound Analyzer Type2260 has a menu-
based user interface. Menu overviews can be found as fold
outs in both this manual and in the relevant application soft-
ware’s manual. For more details, see section 2.4.
Working with Files
The Modular Precision Sound Analyzer Type2260 can be com-
pared to a dedicated computer. It has two drives, one for an
internal disk and one for an external memory or application
card. The internal disk is organised in directories and sub-
directories.
