5.15 Setting thermal disinfection
If this function

is activated, DHW is heated once a week or once a day to a temperature sufficient
to kill pathogens (e.g. legionella).
1. Open the user menu.
2. Select therm. disinfection.
3. Set yes or no.
If thermal disinfection is switched on:
4. Set the temperature, to which the DHW should be heated for disinfection (basic setting: 70 °C).
5. Set the day of the week (basic setting Tuesday).
6. Set the time (basic setting: 01:00 hours in the morning; the start can only be at full hours).
5.16 Calibrating the room temperature display
If there is a separate thermometer near the programming unit, it may show a different room
temperature to that shown on the programming unit. If you wish to adjust (“calibrate”) the
programming unit to match the thermometer, you can use the room temp. correct. function.
Before adjusting the room temperature, consider the following:
• Is the thermometer more accurate than the programming unit?
• Is the thermometer located close to programming unit so that they are both subject to the same
heat influences (e.g. sunlight, fireplace)?
Instead of making the setting via the user menu, you can use the following shortcut:
B Press and hold down .
B Open flap.
B Simultaneously turn the rotary selector to set the number of hours (0 to 99).

WARNING: Risk of scalding from hot water at the draw-off points!
During the thermal disinfection process the DHW can be heated to a temperature
above 60 °C.
B Do not open a hot water tap without mixing in cold water during or after the thermal
disinfection process.
