Press . The real-time ECG view is then replaced with the acquired ECG view. The default real-time ECG
view is not available in the acquired ECG view for navigation purposes.
NOTE: When Mandatory Fields are configured, and not populated at time of acquisition, and the “Done”
button is selected, the user will be presented with a message requiring an acknowledgment prior to
proceeding or exiting to home screen.
NOTE: New Function Icons are available in the acquired ECG view.
NOTE: Functions are not available during acquisition.
Acquiring a STAT ECG
To acquire an emergency (STAT) or unidentified ECG for a new patient prior to entering patient demographics,
follow the instructions below:
1. Select from the real-time display.
2. Select a second time. The ECG will be acquired.
3. The messages “Collecting 10 seconds of data,” followed by “Captured,” “Analyzed, and “Formatted”
appear in the top left corner of the display.
4. Once completed, the acquired ECG displays on a red grid background.
5. To return to the real-time display without entering patient demographics, select Done. The ECG can be
found in the directory by acquisition date.
NOTE: If a STAT ECG is acquired when Mandatory Fields are configured, the ECG will be stored but not
able to transmit because of the missing fields. Demographics must be added to the missing mandatory
field(s) prior to transmission.
Adding Patient Demographics after a STAT ECG
Use the following steps to add patient demographics immediately after acquiring a STAT ECG:
1. From the acquired ECG screen, select .
2. If the STAT ECG is for an existing patient, select No. Enter the patient demographics as described earlier
in this section. When patient data is complete, select Done to return to the acquired ECG view. Select
Done again to save and return to the real-time display.
3. If the STAT ECG is not for an existing patient, select Yes. Manually complete the demographic fields or
select the existing demographics from the patient directory as described earlier in this section. Select
Done to save and return to the real-time display.
4. From the acquired ECG view, select Print or Send. To return to the real-time display select Done.
Select Erase to delete the STAT ECG and return to the real-time display.
