Internal Modem Connection
NOTE: Modem functionality can be confirmed by the presence of an RJ 11 connector on the rear of the
unit located just below the Icon.
To set up the ELI 280 for modem transmission:
1. Select from the real-time display.
2. Select Advanced.
3. Select Modem.
4. Connect an active telephone line cable to the telephone jack, located on the back of the ELI 280.
5. Confirm the telephone number in the configuration settings.
Internal Modem Initialization
The modem initialization string code is configured for the country where the system was shipped. If the system is
relocated to a different country the modem initialization string code will need to be reprogrammed. Contact your
local Mortara Instrument Support Center for assistance reprogramming this code.
