CONNECTIVITY AND ECG TRANSMISSION

Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Connection and Setup

NOTE: WLAN functionality can be confirmed by the presence of the WLAN icon in the Settings menu.

The facility Information Technology (IT) professional must:

 Configure the wireless access point(s).

 Configure the E-Scribe workstation.

 Provide the ELI 280 WLAN configuration values.

To set up the ELI 280 for WLAN transmission:

1. Select from the real-time display.

2. Select Advanced.

3. Select WLAN.

4. Configure the ELI 280 for Dynamic Host Communication Protocol (DHCP) or static IP. Wireless security

encryption options include:

 WEP

 WEP 128

 WEP 64

 WPA-PSK

 WPA–LEAP

 WPA-PSK64

 WPA-PSK128

 WPA-LEAP64

 WPA-LEAP128

 WPA2-PSK

 WPA2-PEAP

 WPA2-EAP-TLS

 WPA2-EAP-TLS(p12/pfx)

NOTE: Environmental conditions may affect the reliability of WLAN transmissions. Set or change the

WLAN Connect setting from the Settings menu.

If DHCP is set to NO, your wireless access point will have a static network setting and the following parameters

must be configured in the device:

 IP Address

 Default Gateway

 Sub Net Mask

If DHCP is set to YES, your wireless access point will have an automatic network setting and IP address. The

default gateway and sub net mask do not need to be configured.
