USB Connectivity
Transmission using the USB host port to a USB memory stick
USB memory communication media permits storage of patient records to an external USB memory stick. The files
will be saved in UNIPRO32 format for transfer to the E-Scribe or a compatible electronic information management
system.
NOTE: Device is compatible with FAT32 formatted USB memory sticks.
NOTE: The USB memory stick must not contain any automatic features (e.g., Sandisk U3). Uninstall any
features from the memory stick before connecting it to the device.
NOTE: All communication options (MODEM, LAN, WLAN) including time sync and orders download are
disabled when a USB memory stick is inserted in the device.
NOTE: Upon successful transmission the device display will state “Transmission status transmit
complete. Press any key to continue.” The total number of patient records transmitted to the USB
memory stick will also appear.
NOTE: Patient records transmitted to a USB memory stick are marked as transmitted by the device.
Transferring Individual Patient Records to the USB Memory Stick
Place the USB memory stick into the USB host port on the back of the device.
Select from real-time ECG view.
Select Directory.
Select the patient record to be stored to the USB memory stick.
Select Transmit.
Transferring Batch Patient Records to the USB Memory Stick
Place the USB memory stick into the USB host port on the back of the device.
Select SYNC.
Select Done when transmission is complete.
