Simulator Configurations
The simulator is available in three configurations; Base, Advanced and Complete.
Configuration Components
Ares Base • Tristate eyes
• Articulation with range of motion in hips, knees, ankles, shoulders
• IV/IO arm and a NIBP/pulse arm
• 4 Intramuscular sites
• StethoSym
Airway
• Airway anatomy (lips, teeth, tongue)
• Bag-valve-mask (BVM) ventilation
• Intubation: oral and nasal endotracheal; esophageal, fiberoptic,
retrograde, and right main stem with detection
• Transtracheal Jet ventilation
• Needle and surgical cricothyrotomy
• Pre-made tracheostomy
• Stomach distention with esophageal intubation
• Laryngospasms
Breathing
• Spontaneous breathing, with unilateral and bilateral movement of
the chest
• Bilateral needle decompression
Cardiac
• 4-lead ECG and cardiac rhythms
• 12-lead dynamic ECG display
Circulation
• Unilateral blood pressure measurement by auscultation and
palpation
• Bilateral carotid and femoral pulses, with variable intensity control
• Unilateral radial and brachial pulses, with variable intensity control
Sounds
• Auscultation of normal and abnormal heart, lung, and bowel sounds
• Audible Korotkoff sounds generated with NIBP
• Two-way communication between manikin and facilitator
• Prerecorded speech and vocal sounds
