11.4.5 Voltage and current excitation specifications
A 12-bit DAC produces voltage and current excitation. When used for resistance measurement,
excitation is active only during measurement.
11.4.5.1 Voltage excitation
Terminals: U1 - U12
Range: ±2500 mV
Resolution: 0.6 mV
Voltage Excitation Absolute Accuracy (note that ratiometric accuracy, rather than the absolute
accuracy or excitation or analog measurement, determines the accuracy of ratiometric-resistance
measurements):
l 0 to 40 °C: ±(0.1% of setting + 1.2 mV)
l –40 to 70 °C: ±(0.1% of setting + 1.5 mV)
l –55 to 85 °C (XT): ±(0.1% of setting + 1.6 mV)
Maximum Source or Sink Current (exceeding current limits causes voltage output to become
unstable. Voltage should stabilize when current is reduced to within stated limits): ±25 mA
11.4.5.2 Current excitation
Terminals: U1 - U12
