Engineoilandlter-Replace
1.FollowMachinesafetyposition(See2-2and2-3)
2.Removethecapofthellerneck.
3.Removetheenginecrankcasedrainvalve.
NOTE:Draintheengineoilwhenitisstillhot.Theoilwill
owmoreeasily.
4.Nowwaitfortheoiltocompletelyowoutoftheengine.
5.Tightenthedrainplug.Torque:95N·m(70lbft).
6.Unscrewandremovethecartridge(1).
7.Applyathinlayerofcleanoilonthesealofthenew
cartridge.
NOTE:Donotllthenewlterwithoilbeforeinstallingit.
8.Assemblethenewcartridge(1).
9.Manuallyscrewinthecartridgeuntilthesealtouches
thesupport(2).
10.Tightenitfurtherby3/4ofaturn.
NOTE:Overtighteningcandamagethelterseal.Donot
usenongenuinespareparts.Enginemaygetdamagedby
usinganongenuinelterandnonapprovedoil.

11.Filltheengineoil.
12.Starttheengineandletitrunforseveralminutesand
thencheckthelevelagainbymeansofthedipstick.
13.Ifnecessary,topuptocompensatethequantityofoil
usedforllingthecartridge.
