Geographic,environmentalandactualstoragecondi-
tionsmakeitdifculttofollowasetstorageprocedure
forallareasandconditions.Thefollowingprocedureis
forastorageperiodofsixmonthsorlonger.Thisproce-
dureisagoodstartingpointbutmaynotbeallinclusive.
Ifyouhavequestionsaboutstoringyourmachine,con-
tactyourCASEDealer.
1.Priortostoring,inspectthemachineforvisiblesignsof
wear,breakageordamage.Orderanypartsrequired
andmakethenecessaryrepairstoavoiddelayswhen
startingthenextoperatingperiod.
2.Priortostoring,washthemachine.
3.Lubricatetheentiremachine.
4.Paintanyareaswherethepainthasbeendamaged.
5.Moveallhydrauliccontrolsthroughtheircomplete
rangesseveraltimestorelieveanypressureinthe
circuits.
6.Changetheengineoilandreplacethelter.
7.Drainthecoolingsystem.Leavethedrainsopenand
donottightentheradiatorcap.
8.PutaDONOTOPERATEtag.
9.Covertheexposedcylinderrods,andvalvespoolsand
anyotherbaremetalpartswitharustandcorrosion
preventive.
10.Removeandcleanthebattery.Fullychargethebat-
tery.Storethebatteryinacooldryplacewhereitwill
notfreeze.
11.Coverexhaustoutlet.
12.Parkthemachineinsideabuilding.Ifabuildingisnot
available,parkthemachineinadryareaonplanks
andcoverwithawaterproofcover.
13.Doperiodicchecksforprotection.Lookforcorrosion.
