Precautionsfortravellingonslopes
Whentravelingonaslopingground,themachinebe-
comesunstable,unbalanced,anddifculttocontrol.
Therefore,thefollowingoperatingprescriptionsshallbe
strictlyrespected.
Alwaystravelwiththeundercarriageorientedalongthe
slope,neveracross.Nevertravelalongaslopesteeper
than20°.
Ifgoingacrossaslopeisneededtoreachaspecicwork
place,makesuretofollowanalternativepaththatismade
bytravelingalongtheslope,asoutlinedinthepictures.
Alwaysselecttheslowspeedtravelmode,andoperate
thetravelcontrolsinordernottosuddenlyincreaseor
decreasethespeedofthemachine.
NOTICE:nevershiftthetravelmodetothefastspeed
rangewhiletravelingonslopes,asthissuddenlyin-
creasesthespeedandmakesthemachineunstableand
difculttocontrol.
NOTICE:whenthehydraulicoilisnotsufcientlywarm,
themachinemaynotbeabletodevelopitsfullperfor-
mance.Beforetravelingonasteepslope,makesureto
carryoutacompletepreheatofthemachinemainsys-
tems.

Foruphillanddownhilltravel,approachtheslopeasout-
linedinthepictures.
Theundercarriageshallbeorientedalongtheslope,with
thebladefacingthedirectionoftravel,andwiththetravel
reductiongearsonthebackside.
Theupper-structureshallbealignedtotheundercarriage,
andshallbeorientedinordertograntstraightvisibilityto
thedirectionoftravel.
Thefrontequipmentshallbealignedtothedirectionof
travel,andshallbepositionedinordertohavethearmin
verticalposition,andthebottomsideofthebucket20–
30cm(7.9–11.8in)fromtheground.
Whentravelingalongaslope,neverswingtheupperstruc-
tureortheboomfromthestraightposition.Inparticu-
larduringuphilltravel,neverattempttoswingtheupper
structuretowardsthebottomoftheslope:themachine
couldtipover.
Ifthemachinestartstoslideorlosesstabilitywhentrav-
elingalongaslope,immediatelylowerthebuckettothe
groundandreleasethetravelcontrols.
Nevermaketurnswhentravelingalongaslopeinorder
nottoaffectthebalanceofthemachine.Ifchangingofthe
traveldirectionisneeded,makesuretoreachahorizontal
areainordertocompletetheturningmovement.
