thecoolantdrainplugontheengineblock.
18.IfenginehasEGRsystem,loosentheairbleedplug
(1)ontheEGRcooler.
19.Slowlysupplycoolantthroughtheradiatorcoolantin-
let.Addcoolantuptotheedgeofthecoolantinlet.
NOTICE:thecoolantshallbeaddedslowlyinordertopre-
venttheentryofairintotheenginecoolingsystem.
NOTE:pushandreleasetheradiatorhoseswhilesupply-
ingcoolantintotheradiatortoeasetheowingoftheen-
ginecoolantintothecoolingsystem.
20.IfenginehasEGRsystem,tightentheairbleedplug
(1)ontheEGRcoolerwhencoolantoverowsfromit.
Tighteningtorque:24.5–30.5N·m(18.1–
22.5lbft)
21.Closetheradiatorcap.
22.FillthereservetankwithcoolantuptotheFULLmark.
Closethecapofthereservetank.
23.Starttheengineandletitrunatlowidlespeedfor3–
5min,andthenstoptheengine.
24.Waituntiltheenginehascooleddown.Slowlyopen
theradiatorcapandcheckforcoolantlevel.Ifneeded,
addcoolantuptotheedgeofthecoolantinletofthe
radiator.
25.Closetheradiatorcap.
