CESSNA SECTION 8
MODEL T182T NAV III AIRPLANE HANDLING, SERVICE
GFC 700 AFCS AND MAINTENANCE
U.S.
OXYGEN FILLING PRESSURES
The oxygen cylinder, when fully charged, contains approximately 50
cubic feet of MIL-O-27210 aviator's breathing oxygen, under a pressure
of 1850 PSI at 21°C (70°F). Filling pressures will vary, however, due to
ambient temperature in the filling area, and the temperature rise
resulting from compression of the oxygen. Because of this, merely
filling to 1850 PSI will not result in a properly filled cylinder. Fill to
pressures indicated on the table below for ambient temperature.

OIL, GREASE OR OTHER LUBRICANTS IN CONTACT
WITH OXYGEN CREATE A SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD,
AND SUCH CONTACT MUST BE AVOIDED WHEN
HANDLING OXYGEN EQUIPMENT.
Verify that a complete oxygen system installation (not just a
partial system) is in the airplane before attempting to
service the oxygen system.
