Specification with communication interface
To communicate with high order device (PC, PLC etc.) regularly, specify communication interface
(optional) by model. Two types of communications RS-422A (only for DB650/ DB670), and RS-485 can be
selected for communication.
Data collection (Data Read) and parameter setting (Data Write) can be performed by connecting with a
PC. Remote operation or data management using a PC is also possible.
Set followings to use this instrument as communication transmission (master) and communication remote
(slave).
• For master device, set "TRANS" on MODEa "Communication function", and a type to transmit on
"Digital transmission type".
• For slave device, set "REMOT" on MODEa "Communication function", "REMOT" on MODEc
"Remote/local switch", and "remote" (conduction) on external signal input*.
*For DB630, use terminal number between 10 to 12, and for DB650/ DB670, use terminal number
between 18 to 24.
• Set master device and slave device's "Communication speed", "Communication protocol",
"Communication character", and "Digital transmission cycle" of the MODEa the same.
• Set above settings. When slave device becomes communication remote status and receives
communication transmission data from master device normally, "REM" on the display slave device
side lights. "REM" does not light if it can not receive communication transmission even once.
Remote operation performed by receiving remote SV via communication remote
