Auto adjustment
(1) Initialization of setting value
Check that the parameters are set to ensure the output range of 0 to 100%
• Make sure measured value (PV) does not become over-range.
• Set "Output variation limiter for rise/fall (MODE6)" to -100.0%/100.0%.
• Set "Output limiter lower limit/higher limit (MODE3)" to 0.0%/100.0%. To perform tuning within the
range of output limiter, set range of lower limit/higher limit to "60% or more".
• Set "Motor·deadband (MODE6)" to 4.0% (default)
(2) Motor fully close fully open time adjustment
•
Select "" on operation screen "Motor tuning" and press [ENT] key to start motor tuning. At this
time, "O1" on the display light, and display switches from "" to " ", then the actuator
moves to CLOSE side.
• Press [>] key after making sure that the actuator is fully close.
Next, "O2" on the display light, and display switches from " " to " ", then the actuator
moves to OPEN side.
• Press [>] key after making sure that the actuator is fully open. By this operation, time of the actuator
fully open to fully close is calculated automatically.
*Measures motor working time from fully close to fully open. Operate to measure accurate time.
• When the motor tuning ends, "Motor tuning" returns to "".
• Automatically calculated time is registered to MODE6 "Motor fully close fully open time" automatically,
check the calculated time.
(3) Deadband adjustment
• Change the instrument setting to manual output operation (manual output) and set output value to
50.0%
• Gradually raise the set value of "Motor·deadband" on MODE6 to calculate deadband of open side
relay drive (O2 display) and close side relay drive (O1 display).
• Perform test run and gradually raise deadband value in a range that does not effect controllability.
Finally decide the highest value that does not effect the use of the instrument as set value of
"Motor·deadband".

Manual adjustment
(1) Time registration
• Set shifting time of the actuator fully close to fully open to MODE6 "Motor fully close fully open
time".
(2) Deadband adjustment
• Change the instrument setting to manual output operation (manual output) and set output value
to 50.0%
• Gradually raise the set value of "Motor·deadband" on MODE6 to calculate deadband of open
side relay drive (O2 display) and close side relay drive (O1 display).
• Perform test run and gradually raise deadband value in a range that does not effect controllability.
Finally decide the highest value that does not effect the use of the instrument as set value of
"Motor·deadband".
