3.5.- CONNECTION
Wall and Rack type SVGm models:
Use cables of a cross-section suitable for the rated current of the static generator and
that comply with the standards of the country in which they are being installed.
The earth conductor must have at least the same cross-section as the phase conduc-
tors. If the phase conductors exceed 16 mm
2
, the earth conductor will be at least 16
mm
2
. If the phase conductors exceed 32 mm
2
, the earth conductor can be the half of
the cross-section of the phase conductors
For 69 kvar (SVGm-4WF-069M and SVGm-4WF-069R) and 100 kvar (SVGm-3WF-
100M and SVGm-3WF-100R) models, under certain circumstances, the contact current
may exceed 3.5 mA ~.
The recommended minimum cross-sections are:
SVGm-xxx-030M and SVGm-4WF-020M: 16 mm
2
SVGm-xxx-060M, SVGm-4WF-050M and SVGm-4WF-040M: 35 mm
2
SVGm-3WF-100R, SVGm-3WF-100M, SVGm-3WF-075M, SVGm-4WF-069R and
SVGm-4WF-069M: 70 mm
2
Neutral conductor cross-section must suit the expected neutral current and must be
selected according to the external protection devices.
Cabinet type SVGm models:
For the cabinet’s power supply, a cable with a cross-section suitable for the maximum
current that can flow through the device must be used. Although the device is com-
posed of 100 kvar modules, to make installation easier, the modules are already wired,
and the user only has to take into account the device’s total capacity. The recommended
minimum cross-sections are:
SVGm-4WF-067C-550: 35 mm

SVGm-3WF-100C-480 and SVGm-4WF-069C-400: 70 mm
2
SVGm-3WF-100C-690: 50 mm
2
SVGm-4WF-134C-550: 70 mm
2
SVGm-3WF-200C-480 and SVGm-4WF-138C-400: 70 mm

Neutral conductor cross-section must suit the expected neutral current and must be
selected according to the external protection devices.
Ensure that the SVGm is earthed correctly to prevent the risk of electric shock.
To measure the current, class 0.2S transformers of the TC or TCH series are recom-
mended.
