7.6.- REACTIVE POWER OFFSET
Note: This screen is not visible on the “slave” devices.
Note: Feature available from HMI version 1.20 of the device.
On this screen, a fixed offset can be programmed that is added to the reactive power value calculated
to achieve the cos Φ programmed in section “7.5.- cos Φ” (Figure 64).
Figure 64: Configuration screen: Offset.
Example: The device calculates that to achieve a cos Φ = 1 it must generate 50 kvar capacitive. An
offset of 30 kvar inductive is programmed. It will thus generate 50-30 = 20 kvar capacitive.
The offset value can be capacitive or inductive.
Table 29: Configuration values: Offset.
Offset
Minimum value 0 kvar
Maximum value 10000 kvar
● Low Vac
Note: Operating mode available with software versions DSP ≥ 1.61 and HDMI ≥ 1.2006.
Enable this mode to keep the device from stopping as long as the mains voltage remains at 50% of its
initial value. See “4.7 - LOW MAINS VOLTAGE”.
● Fast Reactive
Note: Operating mode available with software versions DSP ≥ 1.61 and HDMI ≥ 1.2006.
Enable this mode to reduce the response time to half a network cycle (10 ms in 50 Hz mains, 8.3 ms
in 60 Hz mains). See “4.8 - FAST REACTIVE MODE”.
