7. Configuration of IP-Terminals GE 800
44 1.1/1209
Configuration CCT
G8-IP
Select IP - Settings > tab Common:
In the field Card IP Address a fixed, unique IP-address for each G8-IP has to be defined.
In the field Subnet mask the subnet mask of the G8-IP is entered.
In the field Router IP Address the IP-address of the router, i.e. the gateway in the WAN is entered.
A Router IP-address is required only, if the IP-Intercom components are in different subnets.
Therefore the Router IP-address and the Card IP-address must be in the same subnet.
VLAN - ID: not supported in CCT.
In the field MAC - Address the MAC address of the G8-IP is indicated (can not be changed).
In the combo-boxes Uplink and Downlink the ethernet operation mode of the network link (RJ 45)
can be selected:
Autonegotiation (Standard)
10MBit / half duplex
10MBit / full duplex
100MBit / half duplex
100MBit / full duplex
Select IP - Settings > tab Extended Settings
In the combo-box Bandwidth in Kbit the bandwidth, which is used in the network by the G8-IP can
be selected (data & speech). The total bandwidth must always be set higher than the Databandwidth.
In the combo-box Databandwidth Kbit the bandwidth, which is used for data packets that leave
the G8-IP can be defined. When the bandwidth is reduced, the packets leave the cards with a larger
time period between them (Traffic Shaping Algorhythm according to Leaky Bucket Principle). This
prevents a “Packet burst“ which can lead to a queue overflow at the router.
Recommendation: Select no limitation!
Databandwidth for
G8-IP-8: min. 128 kbit
G8-IP-4: min. 64 kBit
