Two-key
repetition
is
a feature of any PET keyboard. small or full
size.
For simplicity. only the compact keyboard
is
shown below. Keys available for
KeY1
will
differ. depending on
which
keyboard vou have.
As
with
roi lover. the keyboard
is
divided into
odd
and
even columns.
with
only the
odd
column keys availabl.e for KeY1. However. the entire right-
hand numeric board and cursor controls are available for
KeY1.
regardless of odd
and even columns.
Keys available
as
KeY1
(shaded)
--.
Any key
in
the even columns used for
KeY1
will
not produce a repeating
sequence.
Another
peculiarity
is
that
the cursor keys must
be
used
as
KeY1
in
either programmed or immediate mode.

Further limiting this feature
is
the requirement
that
KeY2
be
to
the right of
KeY1
in the same row. or below the row of
KeY1.
If
KeY2
is
located above
KeY1
or
to the left. the process stops after the first
printing
of
KeY1'
A useful application
to
demonstrate two-key repetition
is
creating graphie
diagrams
with
cursor movements. For example.
draw
the diagonal line shown in
the diagram below.
