Installation precautions
Follow all precautions when installing a device.
General precautions

device through the command line interface (CLI).

7 Assign a password for additional access security. No default password is
assigned to the CLI.

8 Before attaching equipment to the device, you must configure an interface IP
address to the subnet on which the device will be located. Initial IP address
configuration is performed using the CLI with a direct serial connection.

Do not install the device in an environment where the operating ambient temperature might exceed 50°C (122°F).
Make sure the airflow around the front and sides of the device is not restricted.
Never leave tools inside the device.
