Installing the Door Operator
The Concord Model SD door operator has been designed for quick and easy installation and
adjustment. It has been factory assembled and tested before shipping. The operator assembly
comes complete with the car door contact, door open limit switch, door closed limit switch,
gear motor, electronic counter and a hinged enclosure for the electronic controls.
1) Position the cab for convenient access to the car top.
2) Twist the six (6) spring nuts into the pre-mounted track on the car top.
3) Place the operator on the track and finger tighten the six (6) mounting bolts. Slide the
operator toward the strike jamb until the hanger track overlaps the car top by 2" (51 mm).
4) Set the distance from the face of the operator header to the outside of the hanger track at
2 1/2" (64 mm) and tighten the bolts.
5) Measure from the top of the car sill to the underside of the hanger track. This dimension
should be 83 5/8" (2124 mm). Make sure this dimension is accurate along the length of
the track to 1/32". If required, there are two (2) jacking bolts (Figure # 43, Item # 11)
located on the car side of the operator, to adjust the track height. Loosen the five (5) track
mounting bolts (Sheet # 1 of 3, Item # 3) along the track. Do not remove them, they are in
slotted holes. When properly adjusted, re-tighten the five mounting bolts.
