1-1 | BEFORE USING YOUR BIKE:
• Make sure that your quick release skewers are correctly tightened.
• Check the pressure and condition of your tubular or clincher tires; make sure that the pressure complies with the type
of wheels you use (maximum authorized air pressure for clincher wheels : 8 bars -120psi).
• Make sure that your rim is not damaged
• Make sure that the spokes are in good condition, and are not bent or loose.
• Make sure that your bike’s brake cables and the specific CORIMA brake pads are in good condition and operate
correctly.
• Make sure that the pads are perfectly adjusted on the rim to prevent damaging it (see drawing n°1 in chapter 5).
• Make sure that your wheel is centered and does not touch the brake pads while spinning.
1-2 | GENERAL RULES
• Do not remove the stickers on the rim that indicate the restrictions of use.
• Follow the periodic servicing instructions.
• Only use CORIMA original spare parts.
• Do not change or alter your wheel such as by drilling, sanding, etc.
• Any parts damaged by an accident or impacts must be replaced by CORIMA spare parts and not be repaired.
• Only use specific CORIMA brake pads for braking on carbon rims.
• During rainy weather or on a wet road, braking distances are longer. Don’t forget this and time your braking
accordingly!
• Please carefully read the chapter 5 “Braking / brake pads”.
• CORIMA recommends that you wear a certified bike helmet and advises you to respect the highway code.
• In case of puncture, do not ride with a flat tire or tubular as it would damage the carbon rim.
• The weight of the cyclist and the bike must not exceed 100 kg (222 lbs). For the WINIUM+ MCC wheels, the weight of
the cyclist and the bike must not exceed 85 kg (189 lbs).
