• In case of a fall or a violent impact, you must have your wheel checked by our technicians.
Any violent impact can lead to damages which are often repairable by our composites after-sales department, but such
repairs will be billed to you.
• To clean your wheel, don’t use any high-pressure water device, especially to clean the hub in which pressurized water
may penetrate and damage the bearings or components of your cassette body for the rear wheel.
Use a cloth to dry your wheel.
• Times and kilometer readings are given for guidelines and can change significantly according to usage conditions and
the intensity of your activity (example: competition, rain, salted roads, etc…).
• Regularly check the wearing status of your wheels and rims. You must not ride your wheels if you notice cracks on the
rim and/or the hub, if the wheel is broken, damaged or if the braking surface is irregular or worn.
• Regarding the wearing status of the rims, have a check performed each season in our workshops to ensure the best
possible control. CORIMA will check the wearing status and will inform you of the reliability of your rims.
C-1 | FOR TUBULAR WHEELS, 650C (26’’) and 700C (28’’)
Don’t mount tubular tires with too narrow sections because they may cause damages to your rim. For comfort and per-
formance, we recommend the setting of 20 mm tubulars for time-trials and 21 mm tubulars for road racing, 650C (26’’)
or 700C (28’’).
There is no maximum air pressure for tubular wheels except the one recommended by the manufacturer of the tubular tire you’re
going to set on your wheels.
C-2 | FOR CLINCHER TIRE WHEELS 700C (28’’)
To take advantage of the outstanding features of your CORIMA CLINCHER TIRE wheel as long as possible, please strictly
follow the directions of use:
The resin used to manufacture the rim and more particularly the part on which the tire is set on, resists to a temperature
of 180°C. The pressure in the tire must not exceed 8 bars (120 psi).
You, as user, must pay attention to two phenomena, which can alter the rim’s geometry and more particularly its braking
surface:
-
avoid pressures in the tire that are superior to the ones recommended;
-
avoid extensive and prolonged brakings that would put the rim under temperatures that would be over the ones indi-
cated above.
The damages due to these two phenomena cannot be considered as manufacturing liabilities and cannot
justify an exchange of the wheel under warranty.
For comfort and performance, we recommend the setting of 23 mm clincher tires, 700C (28’’).
