• Every 2000-3000 km, or more frequently in bad weather, lubricate your hub axle. High speed grease for precision
bearings and plain bearings (grease such as Kluber Isoflex Super LDS18 type) to prevent from any type of oxidation, aging
and corrosion. Don’t use oil which would dilute the grease of the ball bearings..
• All our hubs are built with annular bearings (see table “Bearings of CORIMA hubs”, chapter 12)
• Periodically check spokes’ tension and wheels’ centering.
Spoke tension is adjusted from inside the rim (spoke nipple in reversed position) using the specific spoke wrench delivered
with your wheel. Warning! Spoke tension must not exceed the tension applied during mounting in the factory to avoid
irremediably damaging your rim. (see chart in chapter 14, “Adjusting the spoke tension and the centering of the wheels”).
• Only use specific CORIMA brake pads for braking on carbon rims.
• In case of a fall or a violent impact, you must have your wheel checked by our technicians.
Any violent impact can lead to damages which are often repairable by our composites after-sales department, but such
repairs will be billed to you.
• To clean your wheel, don’t use any high-pressure water device, especially to clean the hub in which pressurized water
may penetrate and damage the bearings or components of your cassette body for the rear wheel.
Use a cloth to dry your wheel.
• Times and kilometer readings are given for guidelines and can change significantly according to usage conditions and
the intensity of your activity (example: competition, rain, salted roads, etc…).
• Regularly check the wearing status of your wheels and rims. You must not ride your wheels if you notice cracks on the
rim and/or the hub, if the wheel is broken, damaged or if the braking surface is irregular or worn.
• Regarding the wearing status of the rims, have a check performed each season in our workshops to ensure the best
possible control. CORIMA will check the wearing status and will inform you of the reliability of your rims.
TD6 C+ DISC WHEELS 28’’ (700C) TUBULAR
Model : DISC TD6 C+ - Diameter : 28" (700C) - Version : Tubular
CORIMA has launched a brand new DISC wheel exclusively for wheelchair athletics.
This new DISC wheel was created to meet top athletes’ requirements. This wheel was tested
by athletes and we know how important it is to have high quality, performing materials.
This wheel has a complete new concept and has unrivalled achievements.
The new components used and our new manufacturing process allow us to get an
increased rigidity of 15%.
The external side of the wheel is completely blank (without holes) which offers a better
aerodynamism
and is therefore more technically adapted for the user.
The new rim profile is a «World Premiere », and it allows you to use the whole rolling
surface of the tubular. As well, this profile reduces the risk of damaging the rim’s edges
particularly in case of puncture (flat tire).
The sketch hereafter shows this new concept:
With this new profile, the tubular is placed on the internal side of the wheel and has a 2 mm rake (shown on the above
sketch). In some cases, it might be necessary to set the 1 mm washers (supplied with the wheels) on the hub’s axle to
adjust the wheel to the wheelchair.
This wheel is available with a 1/2’’ or M12 axle hub right or left side
The wheels have holes (4 mm diameter) to set the pushrims to the traditional racing wheelchairs. Please find hereafter
the number of holes and drilling diameters available:
