Replacing brake pads
- Slide out the brake pad from the brake shoe (open part, rear)
- Slide in the new brake pad from the rear (open part) to the front (closed part) of the brake shoe.
IMPORTANT! This type of brake pad is not as flexible as a rubber pad, that’s the reason why we recommend that you
don’t bend it when you set it up in the brake shoe as it may break.
WARNING !
Make sure that your bike’s brake cables and the specific CORIMA brake pads are in good condition and operate correctly.
• Always make sure that the closed part of the brake shoe faces the spinning sense of the wheel. A bad set-up of the
brake shoe may cause a sliping out the pad and won’t allow any braking.
• Make sure that the pads are perfectly adjusted on the rim to prevent damaging it (see drawing n°1).
• Regularly check the pads for wear and replace them when worn. Replace them before the brake shoes damage the rim.
• Check your brake pads in order that there are no foreign particles (gravel, metal shavings, etc...) that could damage the
rim.
• During rainy weather or on a wet road, braking distances are longer. Don’t forget this and time your braking
accordingly!
WARNING !
It is necessary to align the brake pads on the top of the rim
