The Rapid Shutdown wirebox has been designed specifically for 2017
NEC Rapid Shutdown applications. This wirebox includes a powerline
communications transmitter, powered by AC at the inverter output. This
transmitter sends a “keep alive” signal to APS、Tigo TS4-A-F and TS4-A-2F
devices at the array. When the inverter senses the loss of AC voltage by way
of opening the PV system disconnect switch, inverter circuit breaker or under
loss of grid events, the transmitter ceases the signal sending the MLPE
devices into rapid shutdown. This rapid shutdown system has been tested
and certified with the Tigo TS4-A-F and TS4-A-2F platform to conform to
690.12 of the 2017 National Electric Code. CPS SCA50/60KTL-DO/US-480
Wirebox have two models,One is the standard version of the machine,
another machine is a rapid Shutdown (RSD) Wirebox equipped with APS or
Tigo products. CPS SCA25KTL-DO/US-208 Wirebox only have rapid
Shutdown (RSD) Wirebox equipped with APS products.
The negative fuses have been removed from this model in accordance with
690.9(C).
