Operation
different places) is programmed.
The configuration of set Hold means relays deactivation of all channels during calibration with
standards of any of the sensors.
Note: If the temperature units are ºF, the standard temperature in ºF appears on the display. Once
the calibration has started, the standard value at reference temperature appears.
4.6.3.1 Manual (indirect) calibration
Readjustment of the measured value. For this purpose, the conductivity of the sample has
been measured with a conductivity meter perfectly calibrated.
The readjustment corresponds to one point calibration. The readjustment can be
performed in any of the measuring units.
1. From the main menu select CALIBRATE. Confirm.
2. Select the channel to calibrate and confirm.
3. Select MANUAL CALIBRATION and confirm.
Note: The calibration data introduction do not provoke any change in relays and 4-20 mA output.
The cleaning relay is deactivated during the data introduction.
4. Adjust the measured value using the keypad.
5. Press OK to accept calibration.
4.6.3.2 Cell constant introduction
This option is suitable in the cases when the calibration with standard solution can not be
performed at the place where the sensor and the instrument are installed.
A calibration of the sensor is carried out in a laboratory and afterward the obtained cell
constant data is introduced in MultiMeter 44.
Required option when a cell with calibration certificate is acquired.
1. From the main menu select CALIBRATE. Confirm.
2. Select the channel to calibrate and confirm.
3. Select CALIBRATION DATA and confirm.
4. Set the values for calibration data using the keypad.
5. Press CONTINUE to accept calibration.
Theoretical calibration
For this purpose, cell constant value C=1.000 cm
-1
must be introduced.
This is a previous step to the obtainment of calibration certificate for the instrument.
Note: When the introduced data in “Calibration data” are accepted, MultiMeter 44 eliminates from
memory the last calibration with standard solutions.
The calibration by cell constant introduction does not provoke any change in relays and 4-20 mA
output.
The cleaning relay is deactivated.
4.6.4 Measurement
On the display appears the value of the measured electrical conductivity and the reference
temperature at which this parameter is expressed.
Temperature readjustment, see more information on 4.16, Page 54.
