Operation
4.11 Cleaning relay
MultiMeter 44 has one sensor cleaning relay, common for all channels.
The cleaning of the different sensors depends on the installation.
During cleaning the position of the limit and alarm relays do not change. The 4-20 mA
output (register) is in Hold, 21 mA or last value.
Post cleaning time. This is a period of time after cleaning during which the instrument
stays in Hold.
Programming of the cleaning frequency:
1. From the main menu select SYSTEM > CONFIGURE INSTRUMENT. Confirm.
2. Select CLEANING and confirm.
3. Enter the relay activation values using the keypad:
Time ON: enter the cleaning time from 0 to 9999 seconds.
Time OFF: enter the cleaning frequency time from 0 to 999999, minutes.
Time post: enter the post cleaning time.
Examples:
Time ON=3, Time OFF=60; relay activated during 3 seconds every 60 minutes.
Time ON=5, Time OFF=30; relay activated during 5 seconds every 30 minutes.
4. Press CONTINUE to accept the cleaning values.
4.12 Alarm relay
MultiMeter 44 has one alarm relay common for all channels. The alarm relay activation is
defined in the programming of each channel.
It is necessary to select the conditions and time prior to the alarm activation.
During alarm the regulation in the channel is stopped (relays or regulation through 4-20
mA output) and the 4-20 mA output (register) automatically places at 22 mA.
Sensor alarm
If the sensor signal does not change during defined period of time, the alarm activates
(Figure 25, example 1). It activates if the sensor signal change sharply (Figure 25,
example 2).
Programming of alarm relay and sensor alarm:
1. From the main menu select SYSTEM > PROGRAM CHANNEL. Confirm.
2. Select the channel to program and confirm.
3. Select ALARM. Select YES and confirm.
4. Enter the relay activation values using the keypad.
V. max: enter the maximum accepted value.
V.min: enter the minimum accepted value.
T.previous: waiting time needed to activate the alarm.
Examples: Vmax = pH 8, Vmin = pH 2, T.previous = 10 min; The relay alarm will
activate if the measure is higher than pH 8 or less than pH 2 for more than 10 minutes.
5. Press CONTINUE to accept the values.
6. The instrument prompts to configure the sensor alarm. Select YES and confirm.
