Section 5 Advanced operations
5.1 RS 232 communication
MultiMeter 44 in all its versions has one RS 232 interface that can be used for:
Communication with a PC, “Send to PC”: for “on-line” data sending with frequency
programmed in the Data Logger or Data Logger information extraction.
Messages sending through GSM to a mobile phone.
Data Logger information extraction for later data analysis. For this purpose “memory
module” is required. It connects directly to the external MP-5 connector.
External Hold. RS232 configuration for regulation blocking. Crossing the signal Rx
and Tx, the regulation through relays or 4-20 mA is inhibited.
5.1.1 Connection
The connection for data sending can be done in external connector MP-5 or to rear panel

DANGER
The RS 232 and the MP5 connection must be performed with the instrument always disconnect
to power.
