4.13.2 Proportional control programming
The proportional control is divided in 3 zones:
Tolerance zone.
Corresponds to the accepted reading. The relays do not activate.
Control band.
This is the zone where the control is carried out. The relay will be activated during time
(tON) proportional to the distance between the reading and the control band. The rest of
time the relay will be deactivated (tOFF). tcycle= tON + tOFF.
Alarm zone.
If the programming is Alarm: YES. Once the programmed time has over, the alarm relay
will activate and the limit relay will deactivate.
If the programming is Alarm: NO, the limit relay is activated permanently in this zone. This
is the situation appearing on the example (Figure 27).
1. From the main menu select SYSTEM > PROGRAM CHANNEL. Confirm.
2. Select the channel to program and confirm.
3. Select CONTROL WITH RELAYS and confirm.
4. Select PROPORTIONAL, 1 LIMIT or PROPORTIONAL, 2 LIMIT and confirm.
5. Enter the control values using the keypad.
Optimal v.: optimal value.
Toler.: value for the tolerance zone.
C.Band: value for the control band.
Cycle T.: value for the cycle time.
6. Select CONTINUE to accept the data.
