Operation
Figure 28 Example for programming 4-20 mA output, register, for pH measuring channel.
a) factory programming.
b) 4 mA: pH 4 and 20 mA: pH 10.
c) 4 mA: pH 12 and 20 mA: pH 2.
4.14.2 Programming for control (regulation)
This option is possible only when control with relays is not carried out (see programming
for every specific channel).
With the measuring boards for conductivity, dissolved oxygen and chlorine can be
performed regulation through the 4-20 mA output only of the measured parameter but not
of the temperature. With the measuring board pH/mV/ºC can be performed regulation of
any of the three parameters.
The analogical output provides 2 different current levels:
4 to 20 mA for regulation.
Fixed at 3 mA, when the instrument is in Hold.
The regulation through the 4-20 can be delayed with a fixed time after start up the
instrument or after actuation of external Hold, see “Regulation delay” at 4.4.2
Configuration modification, page 22. During the delay time, “L-H” will appear on the
display. During the external Hold, “L-OFF” will appear on the display.
1. From the main menu select SYSTEM > PROGRAM CHANNEL. Confirm.
2. Select the channel to program and confirm.
3. Select 4-20 MA OUTPUT > NO and confirm.
Note: The control through the 4-20 mA output is possible when “NO” is selected in the programming
of the relays control.
4. Select CONTROL 1 LIMIT or CONTROL 2 LIMIT and confirm
5. Enter the 4 mA and 20 mA values for the selected limit using the keypad.
6. Select CONTINUE to accept the data.
