5.1.2.2 Data sending from Data Logger
The stored data, measurements and calibrations, in the Data Logger of MultiMeter 44 can
be sent at any moment. The data from the Data Logger are identified with DL, it means:
• DLM, measurements data coming from the Data Logger.
• XDLM, format as “All Channels”
• DLC, calibration data coming from the Data Logger.
• The rest of fields are identical to the on-line sending.
1. From the main menu select CONSULT DATA LOGGER. Confirm.
2. Select SEND DATA RS 232 and confirm.
5.1.3 Data request from PC
The request for data from the PC can be carried out from the standard application
Hyperterminal of Windows. The process is the following:
1. From the main menu select SYSTEM > CONFIGURE INSTRUMENT. Confirm.
2. Select RS 232 COMUNICATION and confirm.
3. Select SEND DATA TO PC or SEND DATA TO PC 2 and confirm.
4. Select DATA REQUEST and confirm.
5. From the computer, send the character “$” (24 hexadecimal) followed by carriage
return (CR, Od hexadecimal).
6. The instrument will sent a message with the data in “Data Format All Channels” (see
Measuring data, page 58).
Note: If one of the channels does not exist, the instrument sends “?” as a type of measurement and
the rest of data in blank.
5.1.4 Data sending through GSM “SMS”
Select this option when GSM module with operative SIM card is connected to the
instrument, see accessories for MultiMeter 44 at Section 8 Replacement parts and
accessories, page 75.
Code 44 96: GSM module for messages sending to mobile phone. It includes union cable
to MultiMeter 44, antenna and power supply.
1. Connect the GSM module to the RS232 connection of the rear panel, see Figure 30.
1. From the main menu select SYSTEM > CONFIGURE INSTRUMENT. Confirm.
2. Select RS 232 COMUNICATION and confirm
3. Select SMS. Once SMS is selected, the option SMS will appear at the System menu.
4. Select SYSTEM > SMS > PROGRAM MODEM and confirm.
5. Introduce the following data using the keypad:
• No. Tel: The phone number to which the messages will be sent.
• Pin: PIN number of the card installed in the GSM module.
6. Press CONTINUE to accept the data.
7. Select START MODEM to Initialize the modem.
