diesel specification of “CD” or oils of a
lower quality than specified. Make sure that
no foreign material enters into the
crankcase when checking or filling with oil.
9. Start the engine and warm it up for
several minutes. While warming up, check
for oil leaks. If oil leaks are found, turn the
engine off immediately and check for the
source.
10. Turn the engine off, and then check the
oil level and fill it if necessary.
Final gear oil
The final gear case must be checked for oil
leaks before each ride. If any leaks are
found, have a dealer check and repair the
ATV.
Replacing the final gear oil
1. Place the ATV on a level surface.
2. Remove the final gear case cover by
removing the bolts.

3. Place a pan under the final gear case to
collect the used oil.
4. Remove the oil filler bolt and the drain
bolt to drain the oil.
