To create a new Key-Point File
First enter a filename :
Ö Click in the
Filename to be sent to Gauge
box, then enter a name of up to 8
characters, made up of numbers and letters.
Now set the Measurement Units :
Ö click on the desired button for the
Measurement Units
CygLink will automatically switch to measure in these units when this file is in use
Ö Click on the Create New button :
The
Add a Key-Point Record
dialog will become active, and you can now begin
adding a series of Key-Point Records
To open an existing Key-Point File
An existing Key-Point file can be used as a template to create new files, or it can be re-
opened to continue a previous editing session :
Ö Click on the Open Existing button
The Open Key-Point File dialog window will open :
Ö Navigate to the Directory where the existing file was saved, then click on the filename
Ö Click the Open button to re-open the file
The file will open, and its values will be copied into the boxes in the Edit Key-Point
Record-list window
Creating a Key-Point file
¾ A Key-Point file consists of a set of Key-Point Records, and each file can contain up to
999 Records
¾ Each Key-Point Record has an individual set of values : a Name and a specified
minimum number of required Readings, and an optional Reference Thickness plus
UpperTolerance and Lower Tolerance figures
¾ New Records can be added to the end of the list of Records
¾ The contents of each Record in the list can be edited
¾ Records can be cut, copied and pasted within the list, and the order of the Records in the
list can be changed
Create a new file by entering a series of Key-Point Records :
¾ In a new file : the
Total Records
box will initially show zero Records added so far
¾
Next Record
box will initially show Record number 1, as the next Record to be added
¾ Both counters will increase each time the
Add
button is pressed
