To Add new Key-Point Records
Move the slider down to the bottom :
¾ The
Next Record
box will show that the next Record is to be numbered one more than
the current
Total Records
value
¾ Nothing will be highlighted in the Record-list box, because a new Record is to be added
to the end of the list
Enter a name for the next Record :
Ö Click in the
Edit a name for the next Record
box, then enter a name of up to 16
characters, made up of letters, numbers, spaces and hyphens
Ö Or : click in the box and edit the existing name
Enter optional values for the current Key-Point Record, or else leave as default :
Ö Optionally : click in the
Number of Readings
box, enter a number between 1 and 100
This is the least number of Readings which must be taken at this Key-Point
Ö Optionally : click in the
Reference Thickness
box, then enter a number between 0 and
75 mm [or between 0 and 3 inches, if units are set to inches]
Set the value to 0 if Reference Thickness if not required
Ö Optionally : enter Alarm percentages based on the Reference Thickness value
Either an
Upper Tolerance
, or a
Lower Tolerance
, or both may be entered
Set either value to 0 if not required
Add the new Record to the list :
Ö When all of the values desired values have been entered click on the Add button
The Key-Point Record will be added to the list,
the Next Record pointer will increase by one,
and the Total Records counter will increase by one
Ö Use the scroll bar to change the
Next Record
counter – when the Add button is pressed
the new Record will be inserted into the list at this location
the Record numbers in the list will all be automatically adjusted
the Next Record pointer will increase by one, to continue inserting Records from this
point onwards
Keep adding new Records :
Ö Repeat the above to keep entering new Key-Point Records, pressing Add for each new
Record
Key-Point Records can be added up to a maximum of 999 Records
Ö Click Save As at any time, to save the current editing session
Ö Or : Click Quit to end the editing session, and close the
Create a Key-Point File
window
