3. To add a new entry, click Add New Bridge Firewall Rule.
4. The elds present on the conguration page are given below.
Field Description
Direction Set the direction of the trac that is controlled by this rule: Inbound, Outbound.
Service
Choose the type of service that is controlled by this rewall rule. Common services are included in
the drop-down list. You can add additional services on the “Custom Services” page.
Action
Choose the action to be taken:
Block Always: It blocks the selected service at all times.
Allow Always: It allows the selected service to pass through at all times.
Source Hosts
Select one of the following:
Any: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac from all hosts of the bridged network.
Single Address: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac from one host. Enter the IP
address of the host in the From box.
Address Range: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac from a group of comput-
ers/devices within an IP address range. To specify the range, enter the rst address in the From
box, and enter the nal address in the To box.
Destination Hosts
Select one of the following:
Any: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac destined for all hosts of the bridge net-
work.
Single Address: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac destined for one host. Enter
the IP address of the host in From box.
Address Range: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac destined for a group of com-
puters/devices within an IP address range. To specify the range, enter the rst address in the
From box, and enter the nal address in the To box.
Source MAC
Select one of the following:
Any: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac from all MAC Addresses of the hosts
belonging to the bridged network.
Single MAC: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac destined from one MAC Address.
Enter the MAC address of the host in the From box.
MAC Range: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac from a group of computers /
devices within a MAC address range. To specify the range, enter the rst MAC address in the
From box, and enter the nal MAC address in the To box.
Destination MAC
Select one of the following:
Any: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac destined for all MAC Addresses of the
hosts belonging to the bridge network.
Single MAC: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac destined for one MAC Address.
Enter the MAC address of the host in the From box.
MAC Range: Choose this option for a rule that applies to trac destined for a group of comput-
ers/devices within MAC address range. To specify the range, enter the rst MAC address in the
From box, and enter the nal MAC address in the To box.
Save Click Save to activate your settings.
