1. You must select the correct 'Test Group’; a list of those available can be displayed using the
arrow. The correct group for your test will be advised by your engineer.
Selecting a group sets the machine test parameters, and defines which 'group' the results should be
saved in.
Note: It is sensible to save, for example, all the results of ball shears on the same wire size together
regardless of the product. This makes it possible to monitor the performance of, for example, an
individual bonder.
It would not be sensible to mix results in the same group where the results are not expected to be
similar.
2. It is very useful to save other information with the sample such as the product type, batch number,
bonder number etc.
On the 'New Sample' screen you will see six boxes that may require information to be entered.
The names against these boxes are chosen by your engineer.
The boxes may be allowed empty, or may use the last value, or must have a new value every time
depending on the engineer’s settings.
Note: To avoid typing the same thing every time, it is possible to select from a list of the most recent
entries by using the arrow in the right of the box.
3. You will normally identify yourself to the machine by choosing your name from the list.
Note: If your name does not appear, then you must contact your line engineer to assist you in
determining your optimal settings.
You will then be able to see the settings saved as your preference for the microscope position.
The software also allows for individual configuration of the machine controls to suit your preferences.
These will be restored at this time.
Note: The new sample screen will appear automatically when you press the 'test' button assuming the
last sample was saved. When the screen is completed as required, a second press of the 'test'
button will start the test and switch to the results screen.
