40 Install the Printer
10. IP Address displays on line 2. Press ENTER (h) to select the IP Address menu item.
11. The printer’s IP address displays. Write down the printer’s IP address.
12. Press the USER button (i) repeatedly until Ready displays on line 1 and the USER button
changes from amber to green.
Set Up Network Access
Work with your network support personnel to make sure the printer is set up within your
organization.
The following tasks typically need to be performed:
 Have the IP address of the printer available.
 Set up network security. This includes setting up the https protocol for the printer, for users
who communicate with the printer, and for CardWizard issuance software.
 Define network permissions to the printer and to CardWizard software.
 Define the printer to CardWizard issuance software. Refer to the Datacard CardWizard
Issuance Software and Card Printer Setup Guide for more information.
Your organization is responsible for network setup and security.
