Card Quality Guidelines
Cardsmustmeetthefollowingcardqualityguidelinesfortheprintertoprinthigh‐quality
graphicsonthemsuccessfully.
Card Surface
Thecardmustbesmoothandeven,andfreeofirregularitiessuchasraisedburrsorparticles
embeddedinthesurface.Surfaceirregularitiescancauseprintingvoids,especiallywhenprinting
edgetoedge.
Card Handling
Theseguidelinesapplytounprintedcards.
 Anydebrisorparticlesonthesurfaceofanunprintedcardcanreduceprintqualityand
damagetheprinthead.
 Greaseoroils,suchasoilsfromyourfingers,alsore duceprintquality.Keepcardscompletely
clean.Donottouchtheprintsurfaceofacardwithyourfingersorhands.
 Donotusearubberbandtobindblankcardstogether.
 Ifyoudropacardonthefloor,donotinsertitintotheprinter.
Card Storage
Theseguidelinesapplytobothprintedandunprintedcards.
 Cardsmustbestackedsothattheydonotshiftandrubagainsteachother.
 Whenyoustorecards,makesurethatnotwocardscontainimagesorblocksofcolorthat
comeincontactwitheachother.
 Makesurethatthemagneticstripeononecarddoesnotcomeincontactwiththemagnetic
stripeonanothercard.
 Makesurethatcardswithmagneticstripesarestoredawayfrommagnetsandother
magneticobjects.
 Storecardsinacool,dry,anddarkplace.Excessivelightcancauseyellowingofcardson
exposededges.
 Keepcardsintheiroriginalpackaging.
 Cardsmustbeatroomtemperaturewhentheyareused.Ifcardsarestoredinacooler
environmentthantheprinter,allowthemtoreachroomtemperaturebeforeyouusethem.
