What to do if my Datalogic Card Reader is not transmitting to the host?
    • J
      Jeffery JonesAug 17, 2025
If the Datalogic Card Reader isn't transmitting data to the host, verify that the serial cable is correctly wired. If you're using a CBX, make sure the RS485 termination switch is OFF. Also, ensure that the host serial port settings match the reader's serial port settings. The "COM" LED in the VisiSet™ Digital I/O folder can be configured to indicate MAIN COM port TX or MAIN COM port RX.

What to do if Datalogic Card Reader always transmits the No Read Message?
    • M
      molly27Aug 20, 2025
If the Datalogic Card Reader always transmits the No Read Message, try running the Rapid Configuration procedure. Position the reader correctly using the guidelines in par. 3.3 and the VisiSet™ Calibration Tool. Adjust the ACQUISITION TRIGGER DELAY if the moving code is out of the reader's field of view. If no external trigger source is available, set the Continuous Operating Mode. Enhance the code image quality by tuning the IMAGE ACQUISITION SETTING. Check the parameter settings in the Decoding, 2D Codes, 1D Codes, and Postal Codes folders. Finally, view the full-resolution code image to assess the printing or marking quality.

Why is the data transferred to the host incorrect, corrupted or incomplete from Datalogic Card Reader?
    • G
      gilesnancyAug 26, 2025
If the data transferred to the host from the Datalogic Card Reader is incorrect, corrupted, or incomplete, check the settings of the Header and Terminator String parameters in the VisiSet™ Communication folder. Also, check the settings of the DATA FORMAT parameter group in the VisiSet™ Data Collection folder.

How to troubleshoot Datalogic Card Reader if the power LED is not lit?
    • R
      rmartinezSep 5, 2025
If the “POWER” LED is not lit on the Datalogic Card Reader, check the following: 1. Is the power connected? 2. If using a power adapter (like PG6000), is it connected to a wall outlet? 3. If using rail power, does the rail have power? 4. If using CBX, does it have power (check switch and LED)? Also, check if you are referring to the M16 19-pin connector or to the CBX spring clamp connectors. Measure Voltage either at pin A and pin L (for 19-pin connector) or at spring clamp Vdc and GND (for CBX).

      Michael LewisSep 13, 2025
If the ”TRIGGER” LED is not blinking in One Shot or Phase Mode using serial trigger source on your Datalogic Card Reader, check the settings for Reading Phase-ON, Acquisition Trigger and Reading Phase-OFF parameters in the Operating Mode folder. Ensure the COM port parameters (Baud Rate, Parity, Data Bits, Stop Bits, Handshake) are correctly assigned. Verify the settings of Reading Phase-ON String, Acquisition Trigger String and Reading Phase-OFF String parameters in the communication folder. Also, check if the serial trigger source is correctly connected.
