Why is my Datamax Printer trying to load with no media?
If your Datamax Printer is attempting to load with no media installed, there may be debris in the label edge sensor; blow out the debris with air and clean the sensor with alcohol and a lint-free material. The Out of Stock setting might also be too low; run Quick Media Calibration or increase OOS Maxvolt using the Datamax Printer Configuration Utility (DMXConfig).
What to do if the media is not auto-loading on my Datamax Ex2 Printer?
If your Datamax Printer's media is not auto-loading while the motor attempts to load, the leading edge of the media might be rough, catching in the Label Edge Sensor, or preventing the label from engaging onto the platen roller; cut a clean leading edge at or just prior to the leading edge of the label. Reinsert the leading edge of the media into the label guides, and feed the media into the guides until the motor begins to move.
