Commands sent from the Topside PC are received and decoded by the Subsea
Microcontroller. It then performs the required functions and returns any data
explicit to the command.
The Subsea Microcontroller board has 4 plugs to mate to the Connector PCB.
They are:
PL1 – Power In
PL2 – Inputs / Outputs (Telemetry data, Frame Tilt data, Altimeter data,
Penetration, Cone Up, Neptune 3000 Inverter Status)
PL3 – Cone Power, Cone Data, Cone Comms, and Pressure Sensor
PL4 – Inverter Control via digital (Neptune 5000) or analogue (Neptune 3000)
