Assembly
An exploded view of the encoder is illustrated in Drawing 576-02-01, which
can be found on the following page. This drawing provides a representation of
the main parts that make up the assembly, and the way in which they fit
together.
When ordering any replacement parts, please quote the assembly drawing
number, revision, and title, followed by the item number and description of
the part you wish to order.
Operational information
When working on the encoder, it is important to ensure that the operation
tolerances are correct. The face gap between the magnetic couplings and the
faces they operate through must be 1mm ± 0.2mm. This maintains a strong
magnetic linkage between the two couplings, while minimising the potential for
binding as the high working pressure deforms the Topside.
When assembling an encoder the sprocket must rotate freely, and be able to
move in the vertical axis of the slotted guide plate without horizontal
movement.
