Removing the keyboard

Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length), whichever applicable.
3. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in Removing the hard drive.
4. Remove the wireless card.
5. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in Removing the heat sink.
6. Remove the I/O board.
7. Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane.
8. Remove the coin-cell battery.
9. Remove the system board.
Procedure
1. Remove the eight screws (M1.2x2.4) that secure the keyboard bracket to the palm-rest assembly.
2. Remove the 32 screws (M1.2x1.9) that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest assembly.
3. Lift the keyboard off the palm-rest assembly.
