Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length), whichever applicable.
3. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in Removing the hard drive.
4. Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane.
5. Remove the I/O board.
6. Remove the coin-cell battery.
7. Remove the wireless card.
8. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 5 in Removing the heat sink.
9. Remove the speakers.
10. Remove the touchpad.
11. Remove the display assembly.
12. Remove the system board.
13. Remove the power-button board.
14. Remove the power-adapter port.
15. Remove the keyboard.
Procedure
After performing the steps in the pre-requisites, we are left with the palm rest.
