Removing the touchpad

Prerequisites
1. Remove the base cover.
2. Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length), whichever applicable.
Procedure
1. Open the latch and disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
2. Remove the four screws (M2x2.5) that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest assembly.
3. Slide the touchpad along with its cable at an angle and lift the touchpad off the palm-rest assembly.
