Replacing the touchpad

Procedure
1. Slide and place the touchpad into the slot on the palm-rest assembly.
2. Replace the four screws (M2x2.5) that secure the touchpad to the palm-rest assembly.
NOTE: Turn the computer over and open the display. Ensure that the touchpad is equally aligned along all four sides.
3. Slide the touchpad cable into the connector on the system board and close the latch to secure the touchpad cable.
Post-requisites
1. Replace the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length), whichever applicable.
2. Replace the base cover.
