Prerequisites
1 Remove the right-side cover.
2 Remove the front cover.
Procedure
1 Disconnect the power cable from the optical drive.
2 Disconnect the data cable from the optical drive.
3 Pull to slide the slim optical-drive assembly out through the front of the computer.
4 Using your nger tips, pry the slim optical-drive bracket from the optical drive.
5 Lift the slim optical-drive assembly o the slim optical-drive bracket.
